Mom drove home from Tennessee with me. She was going to stay a few days with us and we had a lot planned in that time! Baby brother Russell and Daphanie had decided to go to the Justice of the Peace and get married while Mom was here. And pregnant big sister Robin had to make a quick work trip to Houston while Mom was here - which meant a little trip up to Dallas to see us of course! We did a small family gathering to celebrate the newlyweds at our house and enjoyed spending time with everyone.
Next on the August agenda... those back to school haircuts! I love the boys shaggy summer do's, but then I also love them with freshly shaved heads. They look so obviously thrilled about the whole thing- the haircut and the fact that I'm taking a picture of them.
Then we needed to have one last swim with friends before school began. Its plenty warm enough to swim through October here, but we just get too busy! This was a fun day with Rachel and her girls. Cute little friends.
And oh yes, one fabulously awesome date night with some of my favorite people. We were able to go to The Melting Pot to celebrate April and Jamin's 10th Anniversary. It was my first time there, which is crazy since I'm kinda in love with fondue. But it did not disappoint. We loved it all... Can't believe we've all been married for 10 years now. Its been fun sharing in the journey together with them.
